Green Level Apartments
In 2010, The Serving Cup opened Green Level Apartments in Cary, NC. They consist of six, two-person apartments with each resident having their own bedroom and bathroom, and a shared laundry and living room area. Each apartment has a full kitchen and residents are responsible for preparing their meals and maintaining their apartments. The residents pay an affordable monthly fee for housing and services.
There is a shared social space built into one of the three homes.
Lutheran Services Carolinas (LSC), the local arm of Lutheran Services America provides 24/7 emergency support plus a total of 30 hours of on-site support to residents across both Green Level and Building Independence communities.
The Project
Green Level Apartments are the product of a HUD 811 grant, which resulted in the construction of this residential facility which houses 12 individuals.
The Serving Cup has partnered with Lutheran Family Services to provide oversight and support services for the residents of Green Level Apartments. The project was funded through HUD § 811, the NC Housing Finance Association (NCHFA) Supportive Housing Program, Town of Cary CDBG funds and County of Wake HOME funds.
